With the crisp weather, beautiful foliage, and an array of exciting events on-the-go, fall is a wonderful time of year in Toronto.

To help you figure out what to do and where to go, we’ve compiled a list of great activities to enjoy this season with the help of your Toronto PATH retailers.

For the Fall Foodie
There’s nothing better than pairing the cool air with the warm aromas and tastes of fall food and drink, and what’s more delicious on a fall day than a piece of home-baked apple pie? With a great selection of orchards conveniently located just outside the city, apple-picking makes for an excellent afternoon activity with friends and family.

Pick up the latest in kitchenware and baking tools from Cook It, located in MetroCentre to turn those fresh apples into a delicious fall treat, and stop by the LCBO, located in Royal Bank Plaza, to discover the perfect dessert pairing wines.

Other foodie activities to check out include the Food Truck Festival of Ontario on September 16th at Sherbourne Common or Oktoberfest on September 29th and 30th at Ontario Place.

For the Art Lover
There are plenty of great shows and art exhibitions happening in Toronto this fall. Grease the Musical is playing in Toronto from November 1st to December 10th at the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre, and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime is playing from October 10th until November 19th at the Princess of Wales Theatre.

The Art Gallery of Ontario will be hosting a number of exciting events this fall including First Thursday’s. The first Thursday of every month the AGO hosts a party featuring a popular artist as well as great food and drink.

Participate in Nuit Blanche’s annual, free city-wide celebration of contemporary art on September 30th. The AGO will also be participating in Nuit Blanche with their co-curation of Will Kwan’s The Forest, a performance that encompasses the human voice and the capacity for words.

You can find the perfect outfit for a cultural evening on the town by visiting the wide selection of the excellent clothing stores in the Toronto PATH.

Visit Miori Boutique in Royal Bank Plaza and discover the latest in fall fashion, or stop by Reitmans in MetroCentre for the perfect date-night outfit. Highfields in Richmond-Adelaide Centre offers a range of seasonable handbags and Legs Beautiful in Royal Bank Plaza is the perfect stop for nylons and tights for cool fall evenings.

For the Adventurous
Get outside and enjoy the colours of fall with a bike ride or hike through one of the city’s many scenic trails. If you’re feeling really adventurous, go out a limb and zip line through the trees at one of the zip line courses located just outside the city. Toronto also offers a range of adult Halloween activities, including Haunted Walk Toronto or Casa Loma’s Legends of Horror.

Jazz Casuals or Reitmans in MetroCentre have a selection of versatile pieces perfect for spending time outdoors. Ellini Shoes, also located in MetroCentre has wide variety of comfortable footwear that will ensure your feet stay warm and dry.

For the Animal Lover
Autumn is a beautiful time to take a walk through High Park. If you’re an animal lover, pay a visit to the many animals who call the park home at the High Park Zoo. Or visit Riverdale Farm, located right in the city. While the farm’s main attraction is its animals, you can also partake in activities like pumpkin picking and wagon rides throughout the fall. Ensure you have everything you’ll need for a day outside by picking up some cozy fall accessories from Elizabeth Boutique in MetroCentre.

Your Toronto PATH retailers have everything you’ll need to enjoy whatever fun activities suit you this fall.
