Must-Do Events in Toronto this November- Toronto PATH

As we bid adieu to October and welcome November, we brace ourselves for cooler days and the buzz of the holidays. It won’t be long before the temperature is sub-zero and your schedule is filled with holiday functions and gift shopping, so take advantage of the mild-ish weather and partake in some fun outdoor activities.

There are a number of great events taking place in Toronto this month and with the help of your Toronto PATH retailers, we’ve compiled the ultimate must-do list to ensure you don’t miss a thing!

 

Royal Winter Fair: November 3-12
Take a break Toronto’s urban surrounding and embrace agriculture at the Royal Winter Fair November 3rd to 12th at Exhibition Place. The fair will include animal shows, a rodeo, wine & beer awards, square dancing, and goat yoga!

You’ll need comfortable footwear as you walk the fair grounds and explore the many exciting exhibits. Toronto Christmas Market: November 16-23
Immerse yourself in the spirit of Christmas underneath the majestic lights at the Toronto Christmas Market, taking place in the iconic Distillery District. Enjoy delicious food and drink and many attractions, including the “Heart of Christmas” and the giant Christmas tree. For the kids, there’s a ferris wheel, carousel, and Santa’s House!

Santa Claus Parade: Sunday, November 19
With over 100 years of tradition under its big, shiny, belt the Toronto Santa Claus Parade is a truly iconic event. This year, the parade will include 25 uniquely themed floats, 22 live bands, 100 celebrity clowns, and of course, the man himself, Santa Claus! The parade will begin at Christie Pits Park at 12:30 P.M. and travel past the ROM and Eaton Centre, ending at St. Lawrence Market.

Be sure to arrive early to get a curbside spot because they fill up fast. It’s also a great idea to bring along a thermos filled with your favourite hot beverage. David’s Tea, located in Royal Bank Plaza and Richmond-Adelaide Centre, has a large selection of herbal flavoured teas as well as great travel mugs. Stop by Belly Treats, located in MetroCentre, on your way to the parade and make your own goodie bags for the little ones to enjoy while they patiently watch for Santa.

Cavalcade of Lights: Sunday, November 25
Kick-off the holidays at the 51st annual Cavalcade of Lights! On November 25th, Nathan Phillips Square will be transformed into a spectacle of lights and fireworks that you won’t want to miss. The event will feature the annual tree lighting ceremony, a skating party, and live music.

Reitmans, located in MetroCentre, has a great selection of women’s winter coats that are sure to keep you toasty all night long, and Brooks Brothers, located in Royal Bank Plaza, has a selection cozy, layering sweaters for him and for her. For the little ones, stop by BB Buggy, also located in Royal Bank Plaza to grab your little ones an extra pair of mittens.
